Kelly Mannings’s Drape, deconstructed.
My paper ephemera, gathered and reworked.
Somewhere between unmaking and repair, something held.
With Festival of Veteran Arts artists, we followed the thread of CURIOSITY — not just as a theme, but as a method — letting it lead the work where it needed to go.
It now sits just outside 310 St Kilda Road. A site with its own memory. Still waiting, in some ways, to become what it was meant to be.
Our materials carry their own histories — nail polish, polystyrene, government documents — things handled, discarded, kept. We work them until they say something else.
This one is quiet, but it lingers - it’s still on display as part of March to Art at ANVAM, a must-see if you're in Melbourne!
Proudly, playfully and creatively documented by the talented @lensoforion - thank you dear friend!
